Sunday was a beautiful day at FBC. I know that doesn’t sound very spiritual, but it’s the word that keeps coming to mind. I guess when you see God in people and experiences, that is a beautiful thing – so maybe it is a spiritual word.
It was beautiful to watch as two new believers were baptized. One a child and the other a young man.
It was beautiful to listen as Emily Walker shared her story of obeying God’s leading to begin a Bible study on Wednesday nights for the deaf. The class averages about 15 and two attendees have now joined our FBC Family of Faith. I’d definitely call that beautiful.
The decorations were beautiful. So was the scene in the lobby has the handbell choir played songs of the season before and after our worship services.
Seeing our children and our senior adults on stage together Sunday evening as the various choirs sang was a beautiful thing. Being a multi-generational church is definitely a beautiful thing.
One final experience that was beautiful for me was watching moms and dads interact with their children Sunday evening. The stage of life when kids are young is BUSY but precious.
I have to add one more experience to the list – all the kids who gave me a hug or a smile. Now those were beautiful.
