It was another blessed Sunday at FBC. If you were not able to be with us Sunday morning, here are a few of the highlights.
Children – The Children’s Choir sang in both worship services. If those of us who are “older kids” could learn to sing with the same enthusiasm, wow…. This Wednesday you can hear all our children’s choirs sing. Join us in the worship center at 6:30 pm.
Senior Adults – Our JOY Choir (Just Older Youth) sang in our first service some music they sang several times the previous week while on tour in the Richmond, Virginia area. They may have been singing all week but they still had their voices and energy Sunday morning. You can hear them this Wednesday as well… they’re going to be singing with our children.
Baptism – We baptized nine people Sunday, including two siblings and a husband/wife. Chip Powell, one of our interns who recently finished seminary, was able to participate in the baptism. He serves with our children’s ministry.
I know summer is upon us. Children (and teachers) are ready for school to end. Normally attendance has already started to decline a little by the middle of May, but attendance Sunday was good. Praise God!
I preached the first message in a new sermon series titled “People Jesus Bragged On.” Sunday’s message was about a woman who had great faith. You can watch the sermon here.
I believe next Sunday is going to be another blessed day of worship. If you feel the same way, invite someone to come with you.
