Our Mission Statement

College is an exciting season filled with new opportunities, relationships, decisions, and challenges. It is also a time when many young adults begin deciding for themselves what they truly believe and what kind of person they want to become. We want First Baptist Church to be a place where college students can find a church family that knows them, encourages them, and helps them continue growing in their relationship with Jesus.

Our College Ministry provides opportunities for biblical teaching, discipleship, fellowship, meals, gatherings, service, and genuine relationships. We want students to have a place where they can ask honest questions, develop lasting friendships, be encouraged by other believers, and learn how their faith impacts their education, relationships, careers, and future.

Whether you grew up at First Baptist, attend a nearby college, are home from school for the summer, commute to campus, or are simply looking for a church to call home during your college years, there is a place for you here.

Our goal is not simply to keep college students connected to church. We want to help develop lifelong followers of Jesus who will take the Gospel with them wherever God leads them next.

We offer numerous opportunities to connect outside of church on Sunday mornings as well. We have Sunday after church meals together at local restaurants, game nights, summer trip to the beach and coffee shop meat ups where we fellowship with one another and connect in community. College Ministry Sunday Morning

Sunday Mornings | 9:45–10:45 AM

College is a season when you’re figuring out who you are, what you believe, and where you’re going and you shouldn’t have to figure it all out alone.

Every Sunday morning from 9:45–10:45 AM, our College Ministry gathers for a time built around community, conversation, and growing together in our relationship with Jesus.

This isn’t a place where you have to have everything figured out or know all the right answers. It’s a place to show up, meet people who are walking through the same season of life, ask real questions, open God’s Word together, and build friendships that extend beyond Sunday morning.

Whether you’re attending college locally, commuting from home, back in town for a weekend or break, or simply in the college-age season of life, there’s a seat for you.

We believe some of the most meaningful relationships you build during college can begin around a table with people who encourage you, challenge you, pray for you, and remind you that you’re not walking through life alone.
