AFGHAN REFUGEE RELIEF OFFERING
Sunday, September 12
As the crisis in Afghanistan unfolded, tens of thousands of people were able to flee the country that could soon be engulfed in the persecution of Christians, minorities, and women. As these Afghan refugees are resettled, this crisis will impact communities all around the world. The crisis also opens doors for the gospel to be shared with many who have never heard it before.
Through Send Relief and the combined resources of the IMB and NAMB, Southern Baptists are able to serve Afghan refugees wherever they are resettled. Send Relief is strategically working with our trusted ministry partners to minister to Afghan refugee families.
HOW TO GIVE: Your gifts to the Afghanistan Refugee Crisis Fund will support churches and refugee ministries in the United States and around the world as they care for resettled Afghan refugees. On Sunday, September 12, we will take up a special offering that will go to send relief specifically to support this effort. You can give with a special offering envelope available on that day and by texting the word GIVE REF and the offering amount to 803 310 4455. You may also donate on our website by clicking here and Designating your gift to our Disaster Relief Fund.
While giving is important, prayer is also a priority. Please join us in praying over the Afghanistan refugee crisis using the Afghan Refugee Prayer Guide.
