Today ends our Five Week Challenge. This focus on prayer and fasting has impacted many in our Family of Faith. I’ve heard countless stories and comments of God’s work in people’s lives. Individually and collectively, there has been a spiritual renewal. I praise God for all He has done and will continue doing.
I encourage you to take a moment and share with us in the comment below what this focus has meant to you. How has God blessed you? What have you learned? How are you different because of your fasting or praying? What was your favorite moment during the past five weeks? How have you grown?
One blessing for me has been hearing so many of you talk about what God has done in your life. To know that so many of you have encountered God in meaningful ways has encouraged me. As a Pastor sometimes it’s easy to wonder if our teaching and efforts to help people grow are making any difference. I’ve been renewed this past five weeks and I thank you for being the people of God who love Jesus.

I read a blog post last week which spoke of September being a good time to start new things, form new habits. With School starting again, Fall approaching, that it is just a good month to make changes, more so than January. We know those New Year’s resolutions usually fizzle for most.
So, I will be fasting once a month for what ever I feel needs focus as I go along. This series was wonderful for me, I learned a lot about fasting, and about myself. Thank you for this series.
