Rev. Kevin Deyerle
I joined First Baptist Rock Hill in March 2025 as the Assistant Pastor of Discipleship and Connections. I’m passionate about helping people grow in their faith and build meaningful relationships, both with God and with others. Nothing excites me more than seeing someone take their next step in their walk with Christ!
Before coming to FBC Rock Hill, I served as the Discipleship Pastor and Sylvia Campus Minister at Hillcrest Baptist Church in York, SC, for four years. I earned my degree in Business Accounting from Limestone College in 2016, but God had other plans for my life. I went on to complete my Masters in Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2021, answering the call to pastoral ministry.
I grew up in a Christian home with parents who loved Jesus and raised me to do the same. But it wasn’t until 2009 that I truly surrendered my life to Christ, and shortly after, I knew God was calling me into pastoral ministry. Before that, I served in the U.S. Air Force from 2001 to 2005 at Minot AFB in North Dakota (which, by the way, is the coldest place on earth!). After my time in the military, I worked at Duke Energy for 19 years before stepping out in faith to pursue full-time ministry.
I’ve been married to my amazing wife, Jazmin, since 2006. We met while I was stationed in North Dakota, and the rest is history! We have four awesome kids; Calvin (who is married to Beca), Aydin, Matthew, and Sophia. As a family, we love spending time together and there’s a good chance you’ll find us at a Charlotte FC game cheering for the crown!
I’m a huge sports fan and love rooting for Clemson football, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and Charlotte FC. Whether I’m watching a game, connecting with people, or diving into discipleship, my heart is all about relationships. I’d love to connect with you and help you find your place at First Baptist Rock Hill!
