Rev. Cory Hinton
Cory Hinton serves as the Assistant Pastor of High School and College Ministry, where his heart is to see students encounter Jesus, grow in biblical truth, and develop a faith that lasts well beyond their teenage and college years.
Cory’s calling to ministry began at the age of seventeen on a baseball field, when a rival coach took time to share the gospel with him. That moment marked the beginning of a life transformed by Christ. Since then, Cory has walked through both the best and most difficult seasons of life, and through it all, the Lord has proven faithful. Those experiences shaped his deep conviction that the gospel truly changes lives and that God often uses ordinary moments and faithful people to do extraordinary work. This calling fuels Cory’s passion for walking honestly and patiently with students as they learn what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Cory is a graduate of North Greenville University, where he earned his undergraduate degree and further developed his love for Scripture, ministry, and the local church. He is currently completing his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) at Liberty University, which he will finish in the fall. His academic training focuses on biblical studies, theology, pastoral ministry, and discipleship. Cory values theological depth that leads to practical, Christ-centered living and believes God’s Word must be faithfully taught and actively lived.
Cory has served in student ministry for several years, investing in high school and college students through teaching, discipleship, leadership development, and relational ministry. He believes life-on-life discipleship is essential and is committed to helping students build a resilient faith rooted in Scripture and empowered by the gospel.
Cory is a devoted husband to his wife, Kristin, and a proud father to Hudson (9) and Reese (12). He believes ministry begins at home and that healthy families are foundational to a thriving church. Cory is passionate about partnering with parents and families, encouraging and supporting them as they lead their children spiritually.
In his role as Assistant Pastor, Cory desires to see students rooted in God’s Word, confident in the gospel, and sent out as lifelong disciples of Jesus who impact their schools, campuses, families, and communities for the glory of God.
