It was a Monday afternoon in Geometry Class my sophomore year of high school when Evelyn turned around and asked me to attend a revival service at her church that night. I had never been to church, except for a couple of funerals, and really didn’t know much about it. I accepted her invitation anyway and decision became a turning point in my life.

That afternoon Evelyn had no idea that an eternal chain of events had just been set play. Everything in my life since has been impacted by that invitation and my response to it. I likely would not be in Rock Hill and at First Baptist Church if not for that invitation.

It’s amazing to think that when we invite someone to church or a special event we could be part of God’s plan for starting an amazing chain of events.

We seldom know how things are going to turn out when we obey God, but we know He is always at work. I encourage you to invite someone this week to attend Sunday School and worship with you. If you really want to have some fun, invite someone to attend Friday night’s OUTCAST BMX evangelistic event with you. It starts at 6:30 pm and will be a lot of fun. More importantly they’ll hear the gospel.

Who would have thought it…inviting someone to watch some guys do amazing tricks on bicycles could be the start of an amazing miracle. Wouldn’t you like to part of something like that?
