High School Ministry — General Mission Statement

We believe the high school years are some of the most important and formative years of a student’s life. Students are making decisions about who they are, what they believe, who they will become, and what will shape their future. Our desire is to come alongside students and families during these years and provide a place where teenagers are known, loved, challenged, and encouraged to follow Jesus.

Our ministry is about more than simply giving students somewhere to go. We want to help students develop a faith that becomes their own. Through biblical teaching, discipleship, worship, small groups, retreats, camps, mission opportunities, special events, and relationships with caring adult leaders, we seek to create opportunities for students to encounter Christ and grow as His disciples.

We also believe students were created for community. Whether a student has grown up in church or is walking into a church for the very first time, we want them to know there is a place for them here. Our goal is to create an environment where students can be themselves, ask questions, build friendships, have fun, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.

Ultimately, we want to see high school students graduate from our ministry with a strong biblical foundation, meaningful Christian relationships, and a desire to follow Jesus and make a difference for His Kingdom.

High School Sunday Morning

Sunday Mornings | 9:45–10:45 AM at the Rock

Sunday mornings are about connection, biblical truth, and discipleship.

Our High School Ministry gathers on Sunday mornings to give students an opportunity to connect with friends and trusted adult leaders while digging deeper into God’s Word.

Students are placed in an environment designed specifically for their stage of life. Through biblical teaching and group discussion, we help students understand not only what the Bible says, but how God’s Word applies to what they are experiencing right now.

We want students to feel comfortable asking questions, participating in conversations, and developing relationships with leaders who genuinely care about them. Sunday mornings provide the smaller, relational environment that allows students to know others and be known themselves.

For parents, our goal is to partner with you in helping your teenager develop a strong and lasting faith. We want students to leave each week understanding Scripture better and knowing how to live it out at school, at home, on their teams, with their friends, and everywhere else God has placed them.

Sunday morning is a place to belong, grow, and be discipled. We have a lesson taught and small group breakout sessions and time for a fun playing games as well on Sundays.

High School Sunday Night

Sunday Evenings | 5–7 PM at the Rock and in the Apex (Meets seasonally; visit the WEEKLY ACTIVITIES to see if Sunday Night Activities are currently meeting.)

Our Sunday night gathering is designed to be a place student genuinely look forward to attending and a place they feel comfortable inviting their friends. Sunday nights are where our High School Ministry comes together.

Students can expect a welcoming atmosphere filled with friends, fun, worship, relevant biblical teaching, and opportunities to grow deeper in their faith. We believe church should be a place where students can enjoy being together while also being challenged to take their relationship with Jesus seriously.

Our teaching addresses the real-world students are navigating every day—relationships, identity, temptation, pressure, anxiety, purpose, leadership, decision-making, culture, and what it means to follow Jesus when doing so isn’t always easy.

But Sunday nights aren’t only about what happens in the room. We want students to understand that following Jesus changes the way they live Monday through Saturday. Our goal is to equip them to represent Christ in their schools, on their athletic teams, in their friend groups, in their families, and eventually on college campuses and in the workplace.

Whether your student has been involved in church their entire life, hasn’t been in years, or has never walked through the doors of a church before, we want them here.

Come as you are. Bring a friend. Find your people. Discover your purpose. And most importantly, come discover what it means to follow Jesus.

We teach a lesson, play mini games, live worship music led by our student worship band, breakout small group session and connection time to play more free time games as well. On occasion we have special themed games as well! Check our social media pages for more details and our website. We also offer multiple mission trips throughout the year at various locations throughout the Carolina’s and beyond.
