August 6, 2012 By Steve Hogg Leave a Comment

Yesterday was my first Sunday back at FBC after four weeks of vacation and I have to say the normal routine of preaching twice on Sunday morning was somewhat of a shock to my system after two weeks on the beach. Monieca and I had a good time on vacation and I’m thankful for the time off. We also spent time in Kentucky with our family and were able to rest.

There were a lot of good things about Sunday, but my favorite may have been the video that introduced the sermon. It made the point so well that I probably could have just gotten up, made brief comments and given the invitation. If you didn’t attend yesterday, check it out on the video version of the sermon under the media tab of our church web site.

I’m praying that God uses all we’re doing this month to help us understand that He can use us if we’re willing to engage the lost in spiritual conversations and that we don’t have to be experts. Again, if you didn’t hear the sermon yesterday listen or watch it on our web site. Then let me know your reaction by submitting a comment below.

Once again, thanks for the opportunity to be off last month and I’m glad to be back. I pray you have a blessed week.
