Band-aid Donations (All of February)
In conjunction with the City of Rock Hill, Piedmont Medical is hosting a vaccination clinic at the Galleria Mall. They have asked for donations from different organizations to help make the clinic a success. First Baptist will be collecting Band-Aids throughout the month of February. The Band-Aids should be either 3in x 1in or 3in x ¾ in.
You can drop them off in the Church Office from 8 am until 5 pm, Monday - Thursday. You may also drop boxes outside the Worship Center on Sunday mornings. Thank you for helping our city and the community in this very important effort.
Men’s Warming Center (February 14-18)
During the coldest months of the year, churches around Rock Hill open their doors to the homeless men in the area to provide a safe place to sleep. This year, FBC will be an overflow site from February 14-28. Here are ways for you to get involved:
- TO-GO BREAKFASTS – Provide a to-go bag of breakfast items for 20-25 men. The bags can include items like pop tarts, fruit, granola bars, etc. The bags can be dropped off the day before at the office or brought to the gym for the men.
- HOSTS – Welcome the men as they arrive at the gym. Spend some time talking to them, handing out snacks, helping them get set up, etc. Times will usually be from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm.
- DONATE – Our Sunbeams/Preschool ministry is collecting socks, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. You can donate items on Sundays in room 202 or during the week at the church office.
