I was raised in a Christian home. My parents were ministers and I was brought up in a very strict, religious environment. I committed my life to Jesus at 7 years of age.
After graduating from High School, I joined the Air Force, got married and raised two children. After 25 years, my marriage ended and I drifted away from Jesus. I spent the next 23 years searching for happiness and satisfaction in relationships, activities and a lifestyle that I knew was not pleasing to my family or acceptable to my religious upbringing. Eventually, I became sick and tired of living this kind of life.
More than two years ago, I relocated to Rock Hill and left my past behind. I rededicated my life to serving Jesus. I wanted to be a good example in leading my grandchildren in becoming followers of Jesus. I prayed for a wonderful, Christian lady with an ambition to follow Jesus and a desire to share a Christian companionship. He continues to answer my prayers.
Since my renewed acquaintance with Jesus, I awake each morning with a melody in my heart and joy deep inside. Even though the world is filled with turbulence, I have an internal peace because Jesus controls my destiny. Jesus is my personal friend and I feel this comfort each time I pray. I have an urgent desire to find purpose in the remaining years and live an abundant life. Whatever comes my way, I know that my Heavenly Father is holding my hand and helping complete that final chapter of my story.
