Make A Decision

Cheryl Baggett

I am originally from Canada where I grew up in a Catholic home going to church every weekend. I moved to the United States to attend college and the only place I felt at home was going to church every Sunday. Although I was attending church regularly, I started indulging in activities that I knew God would not approve of.

It wasn't till I transferred schools and met my future husband that my life was changed. He pointed me back to Jesus. He was honest with me and told me I was masking the pain and sadness in my life with alcohol. Instead of turning to alcohol I needed to pray about it. I decided he was right and gave my life to Christ and was baptized.

Since then, God has worked many miracles in my life.  My dad was in ICU and we were told he would not make it but through the power of prayer he did. When we moved to a different state, we saw God intercede in the selling of our home and having enough money to buy a new one. Then in what was the scariest time of our lives, God got us through the birth of our daughter at 28 weeks.

I praise God everyday for his power and all the blessings he has given my family and me. The day I gave my life to Christ was the day my life turned around. Now, I put everything in his hands and not my own. Now I don’t worry because I know God is in control. He will always be with me and I know that I'm not alone even in time of need
