My Father left our home when I was 2 years old. I was raised by a single Mom with 4 girls. She had to work very hard to provide for us and going to church was not always possible, although I would sometimes go with a friend. My Grandpa was a minister and I would spend the summers with him. When I was 8 years old I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. But when I got back home my relationship with Christ didn't grow.
As a teenager I rebelled and looked for love in all the wrong places. At the age of 19 I became pregnant and my Mom and step Dad opened their home to me. I began going to church with them and feeling desperate and alone I realized that what I needed was the love Christ had been offering since I was 8. I finally gave Him control and surrendered my life to Him. I finally had a Father who would look out for my daughter and me and He was so faithful to provide for us. After 3 1/2 years He proved His faithfulness again and brought me a wonderful Man who took my daughter under his wings and has shown me how to truly be loved.
My life has truly been a testimony of how God can make beauty from ashes. My story began at the age of 19, but God is continuing to write each page. He is so faithful and I have the privilege of walking with Him daily. Sometimes the days are hard but what a blessing it is to now have a Father who will never leave or forsake me.
