“I felt so alone and didn’t know anybody.”

Those words were recently spoken to me by a single mom with three kids. Relatively new to Rock Hill, she wasn’t sure where to turn. Then her kids were invited to and attended ZAPPED this summer @ FBC. They loved it and she began attending church with them. She found a place…she found relationships…in a Sunday School class and loves it. She told me, “It’s so nice to be connected.”

Praise God! It’s great that this mom is now “connected” because God, who created us for relationships, uses them in our lives to accomplish so many things. Healthy relationships add beauty and joy to life. What a lot of people don’t realize is that God also uses them to help us grow spiritually. Believers encourage one another, pray for one another, care for one another and are there for one another.

I tell people all the time to find a Sunday School class or ministry group and get connected to other believers. While attending worship services is vital to our spiritual health and our connection with God, getting connected with other believers requires a different venue…a place where we can get to know one another. A place like a Sunday School class.

I’m glad this mom is now making those connections. I encourage you to follow her example and get connected…if you’ve not already done so. It will bless you in more ways than you can imagine.

PS How about a big SHOUT OUT to George Smith and all of our ZAPPED team. You made a difference in this family’s life.
