This year’s theme for Camp KidJam is MOVE. Here is a synopsis of what the kids will be learning this week:
We want kids to move it. From here to there. From bored to passionate. From selfish to giving. From unfocused to wide awake. This summer, we’re taking a look at the lives of some of the people in the Bible who changed direction and moved. And they all had one thing in common: Somewhere along the way, the came face to face with Jesus. They discovered who He was. And once that happened, there was no standing still or going back. God moved toward us, first. Now it’s our turn. MOVE!
There are 6 sessions – called Jam Sessions – where the kids will learn about these people who had experiences with Jesus and were called to MOVE. Tonight is Session One. Here is the overview:
Session 1
We are going to talk about the shepherds, who were standing in a field one night minding their own business when an angel appeared and said, “don’t be afraid.” They then had to get ready for the rest of the angel’s news: that the Messiah had been born. After picking themselves up off the ground, the shepherds moved. That is, they went to Bethlehem to see Jesus.
