Answer these questions:
- What is a ransom?
- What did Jesus mean when He said He had come to give His life as a ransom?
- What does this verse tell us about the purpose of Jesus’ life on earth?
- How do you see your purpose on earth?
- Does your purpose in life focus on serving your own needs or fulfilling God’s purpose?
- How does your purpose in life impact what you do with the money you earn?
- How does God’s purpose for your life impact your decision about this one year capital campaign?
After answering these questions, write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.

Praying for our Capital Campaign:
- Ask God to create in you a heart that seeks Him and His purpose for your life above all things.
- If you are hesitant to be a generous giver, pray that the Lord helps you to trust Him enough to give.
- Pray that God moves those in our church who are in a position to give more than they’re currently giving to do so.
Praying for our church:
We are seeking God’s wisdom for dealing with five specific challenges our church is facing.
Today please pray for God’s wisdom in dealing with the following challenge.
- How do we facilitate the service of our members in a way that is efficient and focused on the priorities that will have the most impact for the cause of Christ?
