Read the following Bible verses several times:
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
“There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven –
A time to give birth and a time to die;
A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted.”
Having read this verse several times, what is God saying to you?

Answer these questions:
- Like yesterday’s verse, this passage contrasts the time of birth with the time of death. In what sense is both of these times a beginning?
- We’re born and then grow up. Name some of the ways in which we shape our lives by the choices we make?
- How do our choices in this life affect what happens to us after we die?
- Once we die, do we get to choose what happens to us next?
- Since the choice a person makes in this life with respect to Jesus affects what happens to them when they die, just how important is that choice?
- Do you think your neighbors, relatives, co-workers, and friends who don’t go to church really understand the importance of their attitude toward Jesus and how it will determine what happens to them in the next life?
- Are you talking to them about Jesus and this importance choice? Why not?
After answering these questions write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.

Praying for our church:
- Continue praying for the neighbors you plan to invite to our July 1 “Celebration of Freedom.”
- Pray for the family that doesn’t go to church, whose kids you plan to “ZAPPED”…this year’s version of what we used to call VBS.
- Pray that the Holy Spirit will help you memorize some key Bible verses in the next few months.
