Read the following Bible verse several times:
John 3:18
“Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
Having read this verse several times, what is God saying to you?

Answer these questions:
- This verse contrasts the spiritual standing of those who believe in Jesus and those who do not believe. What is the difference in the two groups spiritual standing with God?
- Are those who do not believe in Jesus already living under condemnation or does that not start until the Judgment Day? What does this verse mean when it uses the word “already”?
- Most people think of the Judgment Day as the time when God will determine if someone goes to heaven or hell. But this verse indicates that is already decided, which mean the Judgment Day is simply the time when the verdict is announced. How does that make you feel?
- Since some of your neighbors are already living under God’s condemnation because they have not believed in Jesus Christ, how does that make you feel? This is also true of some of your coworkers and relatives. How does that make you feel?
Having answered these questions write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.
