August 8, 2016 By Steve Hogg Leave a Comment

This past weekend Monieca made a quick trip to KY and back so she could check on her parents and see how her mom is adjusting to being in a nursing home.  The trip takes more than five hours and takes her through some beautiful mountains.  She is more than capable of making the trip alone, but I still don’t like it when she has to do so.

So what did I do as she drove?  I prayed.  A lot!  I asked for God’s angels to be with her inside and outside her van.  I prayed for protection.

That is what I want us to do for our church next Wednesday night at our annual Prayer Covering.

In today’s world the church is under constant attack from all directions.  Satan’s schemes are numerous and his soldiers emboldened.

We cannot take for granted that all will go well.  We cannot depend on luck and the good will of the world.

We need God’s mighty hand covering us.  His grace, power and protection are a must.

Please join us next Wednesday, August 17 for the Prayer Covering at 6:30 – 7:30 pm.

It will be preceded by the Lord’s Supper at 6:00 pm in the worship center.

Help us cover our church with prayers, asking the Lord to cover us with His power and protection.

Pastor Steve Hogg
