Here are some highlights from the past few days.
Sunday:
- Nearly 300 men came to the altar to pick up a “SixIn6” coin and commit to pray daily until God gives us the six million dollars needed to pay our loan over the next six years. Each time they feel the coin in their pocket, they will pray.
- Five people joined our Family of Faith.
- Testimonies during Sunday evening’s 2008 & Beyond event inspiring and the questions these members asked about our church and the capital campaign indicated a desire to be part of what God is doing in our church. I really enjoyed this time with these members.
- Lunch with our family (Steven & Sara, Jacqueline, Liam, and Lilianna) at El Cancun.
Monday:
- Monieca and I took Liam (along with Jacqueline and Lilianna) to Edventure in Columbia. Liam had a blast. When I asked him what he liked best, he answered “the fire truck.” We then ate a late lunch at one of my favorite restaurants – Californian Dreaming. Since they will be returning to Italy soon, we’re trying to maximize our time with them.
Today / Last Night:
- Ice. My family in KY got about 10-12 inches of snow. Liam really wanted snow and I would prefer that to ice myself. It’s a good day for me to work on sermons and this coming Sunday night’s prayer event. If you are stuck at home today, it’s a great time to catch up on your reading in the “Draw the Circle” devotional and in God’s word.
