Read the following Bible verses from the book of Psalms several times:
Psalm 89:48
“What man can live and not see death? Can he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol?”Psalm 116:15
“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His godly ones.”
Having read this verse several times, what is God saying to you?

Answer these questions:
- Psalm 89:48 reminds us of what we already know…every person will die. We have no power to prevent it from happening. Do you think that is a scary thought for most people?
- What hope does a lost person have when they die?
- Why do so many people ignore the subject of death?
- If the death of the saved or “godly ones” is “precious” in God’s sight, how do you imagine God feels about the death of a lost person?
- How do you feel about the death of someone who is lost?
- Name one neighbor, one coworker, one relative, and one friend who are lost. How would you feel if they died tomorrow?
- What can you do to help them be ready for the day when they will die?
After answering these questions write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.
