Easter Sunday is always a time to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection and the victory we have because He is alive. It’s also a time when people attend worship that haven’t been to church in a while. I always pray that people are saved on Easter Sunday. Today I want to give praise to our Lord that all of that happened this past Sunday at FBC.
Two people accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord and will soon be baptized to give testimony to their new relationship with Christ. We had a lot of guests worship with us Sunday and we are doing all we can to invite them to worship with us this coming Sunday. I encourage you to reach out to those you know and invite them to one of our two worship services.
We counted 1,592 people on campus Sunday. That’s a lot of people. In that large number are individuals with their own stories and Jesus loves each one of them. I was touched Sunday when the young boy who was saved in our second service couldn’t hold back the tears. I was encouraged when one couple who were attending FBC for the very first time told me they had been listening and watching my sermons about our “Passions” online and decided this is the church they want to be part of. I was proud when I saw Danny Armstrong help a family find some seats after the second service had already started. The back seats were already occupied and it wasn’t easy to see the available seats toward the front or on the sides. He ushered them in and made them feel comfortable. I smiled when I saw a woman who is relatively new to our church excitedly helping greet people at the welcome center. I am thankful for the Holy Spirit touching lives and demonstrating His power when this Pastor was under the weather and had a sore throat. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is we have many reasons to give praise to our God.
