Read the following Bible verse several times:

Proverbs 11:7
“When a wicked man dies, his expectation will perish, and the hope of strong men perishes.”

Having read this verse several times, what is God saying to you?

Answer these questions:

  • The strongest man on earth cannot prevent death from eventually calling his name. Name a few men or women you know personally who are very healthy and physically fit. Are they ready to die and meet Jesus?
  • Even people who don’t go to church and who don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ hope to continue living after they die. What does this verse tell us will happen to their hopes once they die?
  • If we know their hope is false, what should we do?
  • Are you doing anything to warn them?

After answering these questions write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.

Praying for our church:

  • Pray that you will become a bold witness for Jesus Christ.
  • Ask God to help you focus on people’s spiritual health more than their physical health or accomplishments.
  • Continue praying for the neighbors you plan to invite to our July 1 “Celebration of Freedom.”
