Happy Saturday everyone!

When I was a kid I loved Saturday mornings because it meant cartoons and no school.  When I was a teenager I loved Saturday mornings because it meant meeting up with some other Christians and visiting families on a church bus route inviting them to join us the next day for Sunday School and church.  When I was a young man I loved Saturday mornings because it meant time alone with coffee, my Bible and then a newspaper.  Today I love Saturday mornings because it means time alone with God and His Word – followed by reading my favorite sports blogs and websites.

I guess Saturday morning, whether brief or long, has been a peaceful and enriching moment in my week.  Since my Sunday mornings are filled with duties and responsibilities, one might say Saturday morning is my personal Sabbath.

So as you read this pray that my Saturday is blessed.  While you’re at it, pray for others you know who need a touch from God.  Finally, pray for the worship services tomorrow to be touched by the hand of God.
