Our Five Week Challenge includes prayer and fasting.
FASTING
- This week I fasted on Wednesday for God to bring spiritual renewal to people I know who spiritually struggling and backslidden
- This coming week we will fast for lost people we know to be saved
- Remember – you choose the day of the week and type of fast
- We have two weeks remaining in our Five Week Challenge
PRAYER
- Pray for two different FBC members each day who are not normally on your prayer radar
- Pray for two different items listed in the Sunday bulletin – so you can pray for our ministries and God’s kingdom
- Pray for two different people each day who are spiritually backslidden
- Starting today pray for two different people each day who are lost and need Jesus
WE ARE DOING THIS FOR SEVERAL REASONS:
- Because the New Testament teaches us to do this
- So we can grow and change and become more Christ-like
- Because prayer works and changes things
- So our prayers are about more than ourselves and the things in our immediate life
- Because we want to have a kingdom mindset – praying for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven
FAST AND PRAY THIS WEEK:
Each of us fall into one of four groups when it comes to the first three weeks our Five Week Challenge:
- Consistently fasted and prayed
- Inconsistently fasted and prayed
- Started but stopped
- Never started
Two weeks remain. Whichever group describes you, the next two weeks will be determined by the choices you make going forward. I encourage you to join with us and make these next two weeks great. Fast and pray. Allow God to work in your life. Move beyond where you are today. Grow!
