Here are some reasons we should pray for lost people:

1. LOVE – if we love our neighbor as ourselves we will want him or her to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior too.

2. HOLY FEAR – if we realize that Hell is real and last forever, then we will not want our friends, family or neighbors to go there.

3. GOD’S NATURE – God loves to be merciful and desires that all men should be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.

4. POWER OF PRAYER – prayer often succeeds when all else has failed.  It is the only way we have of asking God to move in someone’s life and heart.  We know that the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.  We know that prayers according to God’s will are answered.

We should not assume that “someone else is praying for the lost person”. We, “every individual”, should take the responsibility, because God has told “us” to.

All I know is when I try to solve a situation without prayer it doesn’t work. With prayer the peace through all situations is there. The way I can show lost family and friends is best shown through prayer. Whether they admit or not they know we are praying for them and their children. Thanks for this emphasis
