March 8, 2014 By Steve Hogg Leave a Comment

About 500 people participated in Fresh Encounter Friday evening and most of Saturday at FBC. Henry and Richard Blackaby did a great job challenging and encouraging us to follow Jesus. Here are some of my favorite quotes from their messages:

“What is your focus when you wake up each morning? Do you have excitement about the fact that God wants to meet with you?” HB

“God never makes suggestions. He gives commands. What we do next reveals what we believe about God” HB

“The longer you keep your eyes off God, the more self-centered you become” RB

“When God knows He can trust you, He brings people across your life” (for you to bless, serve, etc) HB

I’d love to hear from those of you who attended Fresh Encounter. What was one of your favorite quotes? What did you enjoy about the weekend? How did God move in your life? What decision did you make? Share with us by leaving a comment below. You can be a blessing to others by letting us know how God moved in your life.

In closing – remember that Richard Blackaby is preaching at FBC tomorrow. I’m praying that our hearts are open to the word God gives him. Make sure you go to bed early tonight, set your clocks forward one hour, and make it to church on time.
