Read the following Bible verse several times:

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Having read this verse several times, what is God saying to you?

Answer these questions:

  • According to this verse, is there any limit on who God loves?
  • How much does God love people? Did sacrificial was His expression of love?
  • What does God want people to have?
  • Does our church love lost people? Do you? How much?
  • How much are you willing to sacrifice for people to be saved?

After answering these questions, write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.

Praying for our church:
We are seeking God’s wisdom for dealing with five specific challenges our church is facing.
Today please pray for God’s wisdom in dealing with the following challenge:

  • How can we develop more leaders and what is the role of our pastors in this process?

Pray that our church makes evangelism a true priority, not just with our words, but with our budget, calendar, and activities. Pray that God creates in us a heart that truly loves lost people.
