Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I woke up this morning to the traditional aroma of a turkey cooking in the oven, with all the fragrant spices that add a special punch to the taste filling the atmosphere. My tradition is to slowly cook the turkey overnight, then finish it in the morning since we like to eat our Thanksgiving meal at the lunch hour.
My favorite moment so far today was when I overheard my grandson, Liam, shout “It’s Thanksgiving!” I’m sure there will be more “moments” throughout the day, but just that one “moment” is enough to already make this a good day for me.
I’d love to hear from you about your special moments today. Take a second and share with us in the comments below one of your “moments”.
Happy Thanksgiving!

We spent the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend with Duncan’s parents. I love my in-law’s so much. They have been so good to me. I have learned a great deal from my mother-in-law. She is a gem. She is a woman of great faith, full of grace, Godly wife and mother. We are blessed to still have them in our lives, and they are blessed to still have each other and be independent in their own home. When we visit I enjoy looking through my father-in-law’s books. He has so many and I usually pick a few to bring home and read. It is just fun being there. I enjoy it all – talking, laughing, eating, shopping, etc. The three nights we get to stay, feels like a precious moment in time.
