Read the following Bible verse several times:

Matthew 22:13
“Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’”

In this parable, hell is pictured as a place where the suffering is so severe it results in people weeping and gnashing their teeth. Additionally people in hell cannot escape, as is picture by their being bound hand and foot.

Having read this verse several times, what is God saying to you?

Answer these questions:

  • What is your image of hell?
  • What do you know about the Bible’s description of hell?
  • When you think about someone you know going to hell, how does that make you feel?
  • What does that feeling make you want to do?

After answering these questions, write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.

Praying for our Capital Campaign:

  • Pray that God helps us make evangelism our top priority as a church
  • Pray that God leads us (including yourself) to be generous givers so we have the resources needed to make evangelism a priority, not just something we talk about.
  • Thank God for our campus and facilities.
  • Thank God for the opportunity He is giving you to help us pay for this campus and facilities.

Praying for our church:
We are seeking God’s wisdom for dealing with five specific challenges our church is facing.
Today please pray for God’s wisdom in dealing with the following challenge.

  • How do we better balance the attendance between our 9:15 am and 10:30 am Sunday School hours and worship services?
