Jesus!

Our word for 2019 at FBC is Jesus.  We want to love Him so much that speaking His name daily is as natural to us as saying the names of family members we love with all our heart.

To that end, last Sunday morning hundreds of people at FBC wrote a letter to Jesus and brought them to the altar.  This morning we recited our memory verse for January and knelt in prayer as a congregation at the altar.  The music helped us focus on Him and it was moving.

My sermon each of those Sundays focused on stories from the life of Jesus.  I felt led to make a commitment to preach every sermon in 2019 from a gospel passage about Jesus or a passage elsewhere in the scripture that says something directly about Jesus.

Why?  Because it’s all about Him.

You’re invited to join us on this journey toward a deeper love for Jesus.  Start by memorizing and meditating on our memory verse for January:

Colossians 3:17 “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.”
