Read Luke 19:10 several times:

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Having read this verse, what is God saying to you?

Answer these questions:

  • What did Jesus say was the reason He had come to earth?
  • What are the consequences of being “lost”…in this life…and in the next life?
  • Spend a minute thinking about the fact that Jesus seeks the lost. How does that make you feel?
  • Do you seek the lost?

After answering these questions, write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.

Praying for our church:
We are seeking God’s wisdom for dealing with five specific challenges our church is facing.
Today please pray for God’s wisdom in dealing with the following challenge:

  • How do we direct more of our resources (people, time, money, events, ministries) to evangelistic efforts that target those in our community who are unchurched and could be assimilated into our family of faith?

Think of one person who is lost and pray for them right now.
