Merry Christmas everyone.

Monieca and I drove to Columbia last night following our Christmas Eve service to celebrate Christmas with our son, Steven, and his wife, Sara. We exchanged gifts this morning and then skyped with Jacquleine and her family in Italy.

I surprised Monieca with an inexpensive but very meaningful gift. It was a 20 page photograph book filled with pictures of Liam (and others) from his time with us this summer. The best gifts have more to do with heart and love than money. Isn’t that exactly what the real message of Christmas tells us – “God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son” (John 3:16).

Pastor Steve Hogg

PS It was a joy to see a packed house last night @ the Christmas Eve service. Thanks to everyone who put money in the Salvation Army kettle before and after the service (see photographs below).
