Read Matthew 9:37-38 several times:
“Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.’”
Having read this verse, what is God saying to you?

Answer these questions:
- Yesterday’s devotion focused on verse 37, in which Jesus said there are not workers to bring in the harvest. In other words, not enough believers are witnessing to reach all the people who want to be saved. How does that make you feel?
- What does Jesus instruct us to do in response to this situation?
- Do you regularly pray for our church to be evangelistic and for members at FBC to witness for Jesus?
- What do you think might happen if you did pray about this on a consistent basis?
- How would those prayers affect you?
After answering these questions, write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.

Praying for our church:
We are seeking God’s wisdom for dealing with five specific challenges our church is facing.
Today please pray for God’s wisdom in dealing with the following challenge:
- How do we direct more of our resources (people, time, money, events, ministries) to evangelistic efforts that target those in our community who are unchurched and could be assimilated into our family of faith?
Pray for one of your neighbors who doesn’t go to church.
