After a long 15 hour van ride on Wednesday, we kicked off VBS at All Nation Church bright and early Thursday morning. We had an awesome time singing songs, doing Crafts, playing games and sharing Bible stories with the children. We spent the day focused on sharing the truth about building our lives on the Rock.

Thursday afternoon, we visited Cameron Community Ministries with Elliott Sneed, pastor at Discovery Church. There we organized their food pantry and played with their younger children. It gave us a chance to see a little of the urban ministry that Discovery Church works with on a regular basis.

Thursday night, we spent time in neighborhoods near Discovery Church handing out invitation cards with Elliott and his family. One of the people we encountered was deaf. Elliott shared that Rochester is home to the second largest deaf population in the US. He asked us to pray that someone would be called to plant a deaf church in the area. It was a great opportunity to work alongside the Sneed family and invest in the work and ministry of Discovery Church.
