If you look closely around the church you may see it. What is it? Bird seed! That’s right, we used bird seed tonight. Two of our teams competed in a relay race to move bird seed from one place to another using only a plastic spoon. Then in crafts the children created bird feeders.

Why?

Well, Matthew 6:25-27 tells us that God does not want us to worry about what we eat, drink or anything else. God will take care of our needs. Let’s think about birds. They do not worry about what they are going to eat at all, but every day when they wake up they are about to find the insects that they need to eat. God does not let them go hungry.

Since we are God’s most precious treasure then He will not let us go hungry either. Worrying will not add any time to our lives, but will only take away from the time that we could spend serving God.

We had a great night tonight with even more visitors and can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow night! A huge thanks to all of the many volunteers for making this an amazing week.
