A few of God’s blessings yesterday…

• Seven new believers were baptized
• Others joined our Family of Faith
• We had several guests
• God washed away the pollen with a steady rain

I’m excited about the new sermon series I started yesterday and am praying that God uses it to help a lot of couples have happy marriages that honor Jesus Christ.  Invite as many people as possible  I believe these messages are very timely for a lot of people. This coming Sunday we’ll talk about the “Summer” season of marriage – that time in life when couples are busy raising their kids.

Yesterday afternoon the deacons and I met as an ordination council to question David Bennett, who has requested that FBC ordain him to the gospel ministry.  David grew up at FBC and recently completed his studies at Southeastern Theological Seminary.  He is currently the youth pastor at North Rock Hill Church.  Our ordained Pastors met with David a few weeks ago for more than three hours and questioned him regarding theology, church history, Baptist polity, ministry philosophy, and personal ethics and spirituality.  Pray for David as he continues the process toward ordination and serves in ministry at a local church.
