What happened this morning at FBC?

• The weather was not “nice.” Rain, wind, and cooler than normal temperatures – especially early in the morning. It showed in today’s attendance – especially in the first service.
• Two new members. Welcome!
• The stage remodeling continues. Chairs were rearranged in the worship center, so everyone had to find a “new place” to sit. Next Sunday you’ll see the completed new stage and lights.
• I drank Diet Cheerwine during the sermon – listen to the message and you’ll understand why. I also took money from a member’s wallet during the sermon – again, listen to the message and you’ll understand why.
• Building Fund commitment cards were distributed. Everyone is asked to make a one-year giving commitment, with giving to start the first Sunday of June. Ask God about your commitment.
• I mentioned that next Sunday I’ll kick off a new sermon series titled “Another Fine Mess.” I also mentioned that next Sunday we’ll continue our great tradition of having carnations available for kids to give to their mom during the worship services.
