There’s a lot of buzz about Sunday’s worship service. God touched so many people and it was amazing to watch. We baptized 23 people and I’ve never seen so many tears of absolute joy.
Each person baptized has a story that is rich and meaningful. Rosi has been attending FBC for a few years. She hasn’t always had a lot of support in her spiritual journey but she felt compelled by the Lord to take her stand for Jesus.
Amanda is quiet. She came to me after the Christmas Eve service saying she wanted to be saved. Monieca spent some time with her and she prayed to commit her life to Jesus. Her parents had prayed to receive Christ when I visited them in their home as newlyweds more than 20 years ago. I can’t overstate how thrilled I was to baptize her.
God loves people and desires to save them. When He touches them, their lives are changed. While each person’s story is unique, the common theme in all of them is Jesus and His love for people.
If you’d like to see more Sundays like this past one, then keep inviting people to church. Get to know unchurched people. Then love them, serve them, pray for them. Share your testimony with them. Share your faith with them. Go public with the fact that you are a follower of Jesus Christ and you love Him.
