Monieca and I want to say “thank you” to everyone who made Sunday a special day for us. It has been an honor for us to be part of FBC for 30 years and we appreciate every expression of love and kindness we received during Sunday’s celebration.
Thank you for every card, comment, gift, smile, and hug. Thank you for the love offering. Thank you for your prayers.
I want to say a special thank you to a few individuals:
- Mike Geddings and the MSR Committee members – thank you for leading this effort and putting in the many hours required to make Sunday happen.
- Steve Polk, Tom Rinehart and the other staff members who worked with the committee to make the day special.
- Congressman Ralph Norman for attending and the congressional recognition he presented me.
- Chief Chris Watts for presenting the mayor and city council’s declaration.
- Ron Goolsby and Jim Steel for presentation and induction as a Kentucky Colonel.
- Bill Mackey and Tracy Turner for speaking.
- My son, Steven, for saying such nice things about me.
- Steven, Sara, Jacqueline, Evan, Liam, Lilianna, and Emily for being my family – I love you.
- Monieca for always being the best part of my life.
- The Lord Jesus for saving me and bringing me to Rock Hill.
We look forward to reading all the cards over the next few days – it will take that long to open and read all of them. We have a special congregation at FBC. Thank you for the privilege of being part of this Family of Faith.
