Genesis 41 is the story of a dream that disturbed the Pharaoh of Egypt. God gave the correct interpretation of the dream to Joseph, who then shared its meaning with the Pharaoh. As a result, the nation was able to prepare for a severe famine that would occur in the future. The Pharaoh was so impressed with Joseph that he elevated Joseph from a prisoner to the second most powerful man in Egypt.
Read the story of Pharaoh and Joseph in Genesis 41:1-45.

Answer these questions:
Pharaoh’s opinion of Joseph is described in Genesis 41:38-39. Read those two verses, focusing your attention on what He says about Joseph and the “divine spirit” (Holy Spirit) in verse 38.
- Pharaoh obviously knew God’s Spirit had given Joseph his wisdom. What do people see in your life that indicates the Holy Spirit is at work within you?
- What is the Holy Spirit doing in your life right now that points people toward Jesus?
- How is the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life changing you right now?
After answering these questions, write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.
