Numbers 27:12-15 describes a conversation between God and Moses in which God tells Moses he will not be allowed to enter the promised land because of a specific sin in his past. Moses is to go to the top of a mountain from which he can see the promised land, but once he sees it he will die.
Numbers 27:16-17 describes Moses asking God to choose his replacement, so the people of Israel will have a leader and not be left “like sheep which have no shepherd.”
Numbers 27:18-20 describes God’s selection of Joshua as Moses successor.

Praying for our church:
We are seeking God’s wisdom for dealing with five specific challenges our church is facing.
Today please pray for God’s wisdom in dealing with the following challenge:
- How do we direct more of our resources (people, time, money, events, ministries) to evangelistic efforts that target those in our community who are unchurched and could be assimilated into our family of faith?
Pray that God raises up many new ministry leaders and servants at FBC who are filled with the Holy Spirit.
