Read the following Bible verses several times:
Psalm 1:1-2
Verse 1 “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers!”
Verse 2 “But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.”
Having read this verse several times, what is God saying to you?

Answer these questions:
- We are told to not walk in or live according to the “counsel of the wicked.” Does the “counsel” or opinion of those not following the Bible ever influence you? If so, what specific “counsel” that is not in line with the Bible influences you?
- What does it mean to delight in God’s law? Do you delight in it?
- What does it mean to meditate in God’s law? Do you meditate in it?
- We are instructed to meditate in God’s law day and night. How often do you read and pray over the scripture?
- After answering these questions, write or verbalize a personal prayer to God.
