Tuesday evening my daughter, Jacqueline, and I saw the movie “War Room” and both of us are giving it a big thumbs up. If you haven’t seen it, you should.

You will be inspired, convicted, motivated, challenged, encouraged, corrected, and several other adjectives I could choose. While watching the movie, at times you will find yourself laughing and possibly shedding a tear or two. From the audience you might hear an “amen” or a groan, but you will definitely know that people are emotionally engaged.

The movie touches on several important themes: prayer, family, marriage, parenting, forgiveness, ambition, integrity, money, adultery, redemption, second chances, on and on the list goes.

When the movie opened this past weekend, it was the number two grossing film for the weekend in the country. It was actually number one on Friday night, absolutely confusing the critics who universally gave it a thumbs down. But what else would you expect from jaded Hollywood types who are totally out of touch with the values and aspirations mainstream Americans.

I encourage you to see the movie this weekend. I also encourage you to take your family with you. It will be good for you and it will be a positive way to keep the politically correct folks in Hollywood and the media scratching their collective heads.
