Taking time to recognize God’s blessings, both large and small, adds joy to one’s life.  With activities and technology keeping us distracted and busy, a conscious intentionality is necessary.  To encourage you to say “thank you” to our Lord for His blessings in your life, I thought I’d share a few of the blessings I enjoyed this past weekend…in no particular order.

  • A relaxing Saturday evening with my beautiful bride enjoying steak shish kabob.  The leftovers were still good Sunday evening.
  • The servant heart of one of our deacons who made an impromptu visit Saturday to a Sunday School member in a Charlotte hospital.  Knowing we have such men in our church who will interrupt their plans to minister to someone is a big blessing to my heart.
  • Watching the faces of our children as they sang in both worship services Sunday morning.  I also enjoyed watching some of our teenagers watch these young ones.
  • Photographs of Lilianna, our granddaughter, in preschool at NewSpring Church’s Charleston campus Sunday morning.  Learning about Jesus and having fun.

What were some of the blessings you enjoyed this past weekend?  Take a moment and thank God for each of them.
